I am a senior at Cornell College. I like sports and lifting weights, and I’m on the basketball team. I have 2 brothers and grew up playing a lot of sports and staying active. I’ve also traveled a lot with my family who enjoys hiking, mountains, and beach trips. Last summer, I went to the Arctic Circle in Norway.
I chose an internship in healthcare. As a kinesiology major, I’d like to get experience and exposure in various healthcare careers. I chose physical therapy as I’d like to help people rehabilitate after sports injuries. I’m interested in nutrition and muscle and strength building and have been helping a friend lift weights and get stronger all of this summer. At the hospital where I’ll be interning, I’ll also have an opportunity to observe in other areas such as cardiac rehab, speech therapy, nursing, lab, and possibly in the emergency room.
